THE MDGs TENDER INVITATION NOTICE FOR EKWUSIGO LGA

This is the "INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION AND BIDDING FOR PROJECTS UNDER THE 2013MDGS-CONDITIONAL GRANT SCHEME ( MDGS-CGS) IN EKWUSIGO L.G.A" as Promised by THE EXECUTIVE CHAIRMAN OF EKWUSIGO LGA, HON. AGBALANZE JUDE LACHAS MBAEGBU.Members of the public are by this post invited to bid for any of the projects.

PREAMBLE
Ekwusigo lga in collaboration with Anambra state Government and Federal government of Nigeria, intends to execute projects towards the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals(MDGs) in the various communities of Ekwusigo lga.  

OBJECTIVES
The CGS has been designed to address the MDGs at lga level by promoting funding to scale up investments in the following areas of intervention in the under listed communities of Ekwusigo lga (Ichi, Ihembosi,  Oraifite and Ozubulu).  

EDUCATION PROJECTS
●Renovation of classroom blocks in primary& Junior secondary schools.
●Construction of VIP toilets in primary& Junior secondary schools.
●Provision of hand pumps in primary& Junior secondary schools.
● Drilling of solar-powered boreholes with overhead tanks.  

HEALTH PROJECTS
●Supply of medical equipment to health facilities
● Supply of basic drugs to health facilities.
●Drilling of solar-powered boreholes in health facilities
●Renovation of water boreholes in health facilities.
●Renovation of health facilities.
●Construction of Health facilities  

METHOD OF APPLICATION AND FEE
Evidence of payment of non-refundable processing fee of N20, 000 paid into "ANSG MDGs OPERATIONAL ACCOUNT" Number 2188672012 in FIRST CITY MONUMENT BANK(FCMB) Awka, Anambra state.  

SUBMISSION OF BIDS
Bids submitted by individuals and companies are expected to be accompanied by the following documents:
1. Evidence of incorporation or registration of business name with the corporate affairs commission including passport photographmof one of the directors.
2. Evidence of payment of N20, 000 registration fee as contractor with ministry of economic planning & budget
3. Three years tax clearance,  with tax identification number (TIN) where applicable.
4. Evidence of financial capacity to implement the project(s)
5. Company profile with evidence of having carried out such similar projects in the past.
6. Verifiable functional business office and operational equipment.  

DEADLINE FOR SUBMISSION
Completed pre-qualification and bid documents should be addressed to the Special Adviser, MDGs or Chairman,  MDGs Implementation committee and submitted in five copies in a sealed envelope with the project location and 'ekwusigo lga' clearly indicated at the top left side of the envelope,  to the Project support Unit, Ministry if economic planning and budget, Jerome Udoji secretariat,  Awka before 28th February 2014 (in order to meet OSSAP-MDGs submission deadline).
