IMMIGRATION RECRUITMENT: MINISTER RELEASES MODALITIES, ASSURES OF SECURITY FOR CANDIDATES

 5861Applicants into NIS perusing the Examination circular at the MInistry of Interior, Abuja on ThursdayThe Minister of Interior, Comrade Abba Moro has assured Nigerians who submitted online applications for recruitment into the Nigeria Immigration Service that their security would be guaranteed during the recruitment exercise.The Minister who spoke in Abuja on Thursday, restated that the examination which will be conducted by the Ministry of Interior and Immigration Service will hold onSaturday 15th March 2014 in all the Centres in the country."Adequate arrangement has been made for security and effective conduct of the aptitude test," he noted.He said applicants will only be admitted into centres which they had indicated while filling their forms earlier."Let all applicants be aware that they will only be admitted in centres they have chosen to write the examination in the first place."He debunked information making the rounds that applicants have been directed to go to their respective state of origin for the test, insisting that it will negate the Ministry's initial decision to go online to conduct the exercise."It is to avoid the risk of long transportations and travels, to avoid risk of spending too much on enlistment into the service."No Exam in Adamawa, Yobe, BornoMeanwhile, the circular released by the Ministry of Interior on Thursday indicated that there will not be examinations in Adamawa, Yobe and Borno States, due to the declaration of State of Emergency in those States.It stressed that alternative arrangements have been made for candidates from those States (Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States) to take their examination in Gombe, Bauchi and Taraba States respectively.The circular also directed candidates to go to the examination centre with their acknowledgement slip and clothing for physical exercise.
